Dr. Karima Ladhani is the Founder & CEO of Barakat Bundle, a non-profit that works with local communities to create life-saving care and education bundles for mothers and newborns in need in South Asia to ensure safe childbirth and support them during the first year of the child's life. Karima also serves as the Associate Director of the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, where she works with government ministers of health, education, and finance from developing countries to support them in strategic policy planning for human development.
Karima holds Doctor of Science and Master of Public Health degrees from Harvard University as well as Bachelor of Mathematics and Business degrees from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. She is committed to giving every mother and newborn a fighting chance at a healthy and happy life and is particularly passionate about human-centered design and ethical interventions for populations in need.
